This bowl is made from a single piece of cedar root that has been carved into a bowl shape. The handle was not added to the bowl , is one with the bowl for easy carrying, and the fractal pattern was added using a technique called Lichtenberg burning. Lichtenberg burning is a process that uses electricity to create a branching pattern of lines on wood. The pattern is created when the electricity jumps between two points on the wood, and the path of the electricity determines the shape of the pattern.
